Description: Stoned Crow Press, a publishing collective by and for writers, will run a series of posts on our blog during February highlighting women writing in and on the horror genre.

 UPDATES:
Christine Parker is a poly-hyphenate low-budget horror filmmaker specializing in zombie tales with titles like Forever Dead, A Fistful of Brains and A Few Brains More. She has written two short and four feature films (often with partner in crime Bill Mulligan) and produced and/or directed (and/or shot, edited, gripped on, composed music for, acted in..) countless more. She is also the founder of the all-woman horror production company Sick Chick Flicks, festival director of the Geek Short Film Festival and wears more hats than I can list here (she and I first met as fellow instructors at an I Was There therapeutic filmmaking workshop for military veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress, for example). Her current film is Fix It In Post,  is a horror comedy  about what happens after an electromagnetic pulse decimates the planet’s power grid and the protagonists try to use filmmaking skills to stay alive. Parker co-wrote, directed, edited and co-produced the film, as well as providing visual effects and serving as a camera operator. She was kind enough to chat about this project and the horror screenwriting life over email.”  -Nicole Solomon
